The thing that is most frustrating, and when I say this I am accepting it as a good thing, is that you came at a time when I thought I knew who I was (for as much as a person can know) and all of a sudden I'm learning new things about myself....
Dear Patience,
I'm kinda tired of having you.

It's either that I've been bad about recording my training runs or there are no training runs to record. It's the latter.
Due to (in no particular order): finances, lost in motivation, bored training alone, lack of solid training routes. And I know these reasons really can't prevent me from running a marathon and there are definitely ways around them, but going through the process alone is just not as great of an experience as doing it with others. The reason I am a runner today is because I had such a great experience training for my first half marathon with the c. lamorena's & co. Who wouldn't want a silog buffet after a long run?! haha. And yeah, I recognize that my reason for running was to prove that if I can do this on my own, then what can I not do. But sometimes things are done better when they're shared. I do feel disappointed in myself, but I've never lost confidence.
And so my new weekly training schedule is as follows: 4, 5, 6, 5, 4.
"When the runner's high does set in, usually around three or four miles, my body flows into a smooth rhythm and my mind is no longer conscious of how far or how long I've run or how much farther to go."
--> I couldn't have agreed with you more, Matthew Shafner.
I found direction in this stage of my life. At least for today.
It took having to close one chapter of my life and knowing how to start the next.

"The more I thought about what I get to do, the less I realized I had to do. It was just a shift, just a new perspective, just a new and more grateful method for labeling the things in my life. Think about it—if you stopped yourself every single time you were about to say, "I have to" and changed it to "I get to," it might change your entire experience."

"In the 30 years I've been a runner I've run more than 150,000 miles. Still, some of the hardest steps I take are those first few getting out the door for daily runs."

Finally got my lazy ass to the gym this morning. What a difference a morning run makes.

"The only secret is that it is consistent, often monotonous, boring, hard work. And it's tiring."
- Robert de Castella, World champion marathon runner
BUT it's also not fair to compare myself to someone who can run 26.2mi in 2 hours, 8 minutes and 18 seconds. Let's cut the quote's meaning in half.
