Life Update as of 11/02/09 09:43 PST

1. Training is currently non-existent for reasons within my control <---worst feeling ever. 

2. Halloween in Vegas is awesome. 

3. I got a phone interview for a Project Management job in SF, but I think I applied for the Project Coordinator position.

4. I am in the middle of writing my Statement of Purpose for grad school.

5. I can't wrap my head around one of my programming projects.

6. I'm struggling with the idea of living in a city where I rather not, but being there means getting accepted into a program and starting school asap.

7. About to cut my hair short on Wednesday (after cancelling my original appointment last week for the sake of having long hair for our Halloween costume). 

8. Getting to know two male friends from complete opposite sides of the spectrum and seeing that I can be attracted to both.

9. Modern Family has been added to my TV show list.

10. I'm anxiously waiting for things to work out. 

11. I'm happy even when things suck.

12. I want to go to Greece!  Γεια Σου! (extra update because I don't like odd numbers).

Marathons ain't cheap!  100 bills!  At one point, registration price didn't matter.  But at one point, I also had a job.  I also need to pick up a new pair of running shoes which will add on another ~$100.  Honestly, I don't know if I can shell out the money right now. 

The question is: am I budgeting or being lazy?

I run because it's free.

My shoes haven't seen the light of day since...I can't even remember. Bad, I know. But sometimes life throws things at you that you can't control. In this case, training is not the first priority.

Things I've noticied by not running:
1. I get hungry less often
2. Even though I'm not running the cold weather still makes my knee hurt. To my surprise I had to limp a little on campus today.

Rhymes with Hailure

Past 2 weeks have been bad as far as training. Today was especially a bad training day. Came into the gym thinking I was going to do 7, walked out on a 2.47. It shouldn't have been that easy to walk away. My body and my mind has hit a running road block.

AND to top it all off, I skipped out on my long run last week.

Time to redeem myself tonight and get back on track.
